My computer with Windows 7 REFUSES to upload your drivers, so the Knowledge Base answer to Philippa that the software is compatible is rather pointless to me. Please advise how I can get the driver (assuming there is one) that will allow me to process the footage on Windows 7. Thanks. Leendert Stolk - Dublin
Dear Leendert,
The driver bundled with the SharkEYE Tracker is the open source EXT2IFS driver. You can find the developer's site, with compatibility information at :
http://www.fs-driver.org/
The three steps necessary for a successful Windows 7 installation, in our testing, are :
- Download the standard Windows XP / 2008 installation executable file
- Run the installation file in COMPATIBILITY MODE for Windows Vista.
- Reboot your Windows 7 system and connect the USB card reader to load the drive.
Please note that due to the continuing implementation of service packs and bug fixes by Microsoft, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all versions of Windows 7 using this method. Once dedicated Windows 7 drivers are available, we will make them available for download at www.swimright.co.uk.
Best Wishes,
The SwimRight Team
