I also notice that when I put the SD card back in the unit having deleted the files on it, the display comes up with a "checking device..." message and stays like this until I press Stop, it then turns itself off. The only way around this is to start it without the SD card then insert the SD card whilst the unit is on - not practical when you are videoing as you have to take it out of the holder on the handle every time you want to start it up. Again, reformatting appears to sort it but I shouldn't have to reformat everytime I delete some or all files. Thanks Kevin

The check device routine may take several seconds. If you wait for the check device routine to run rather than pressing cancel the unit will boot normally.
