We have one of the new sharkeye's which is mounted on the pole. When I take the SD card out and take the files off the card it all works fine, but when I then delete the files through the PC they appear to be removed but still show as a list of files when the card is put back in Sharkeye - you can't play them but they remain listed. The screen says 100% on the screen so I assume this means the SD card is fully available. The only way I can erase the list is to reformat the SD card - should I be deleting them a different way? also can we use any size and make of SD card in Sharkeye to store more video?
Thanks
Kevin
You are correct, when files are deleted from the SD card they remain in the file listing on the device. To refresh the file listing the SD card has to be formatted. The full capacity of the SD card will be available, and you can still record and play back as normal, but if you try to play the files that have been removed you will see the error 'no play file'.
The largest capacity of SD card supported is 8GB. We recommend two brands : Sandisc Extreme III and Toshiba Class 6 x150. These two types are tested with the SharkEYE Tracker, others may work but we do not guarantee that they are supported.
